Croke Park Glory.

Hail the conquering heroes, as the Scoil Mhuire boys did themselves, their families and their school proud with a magnificent win against Scoil San Treasa at a sunny Croke Park yesterday. This wonderful team, brilliantly coached by their teacher Mr.Rabbitte and ably supported by our St. Vincent's G.P.O. Emma Byrne, produced a sparkling performance to wrack up a score of 4-16 against very fine opposition. It was a tremendous moment to see our team  receive the trophy from the President of the G.A.A. John Horan. We had heroes all over the field with outstanding performances from Ronan O Neill,  Harry Curley  Ciarán O Connor and David O Connell. Ben Henry was a tower of strength in the back line and young players like Billy Cosgrove, Harry Dinnigan and Tomas Brady showed that hurling is alive and well in Scoil Mhuire. The future looks bright for hurling in St. Vincents withmany fine young players coming through the ranks.

Having spent many hours of hard work , researching  tabulating and coming to conclusions they headed to the R.D.S. ready and prepared to showcase their findings. This proved a great experience for the boys and for their parents who came along. Please take a moment to view the photographs taken and get a flavour of the atmosphere.

Over the past two years we have had Ger Brick visit the school to give talks to parents on Internet Safety. I can truly say that Ger is one of the best and most clearly constructed speakers I have ever heard on this topic. Following his last talk he sent me a link whereby parents could access all the information available on the night.
I strongly urge all parents to open this link and I know it will greatly help to educate you as a parent on the do's and don'ts around Internet Safety.

Arts Week.

posted 12 Nov 2018, 05:20 by web master

Dear Parents.
Our annual Arts Week will take place from November 19th to Nov 23rd this year. Thanks to our wonderful parents who have enlightened and enriched the boys with insights into their professional lives, Arts Week has been very successful. Dr. Mary Grennan  originally piloted this idea a number of years ago and has seen it go from strength to strength.
We are again seeking the support of parents who are willing to visit the school and talk to various classes about the type of work they do and the skills involved. If you are interested in again participating or willing to participate for the first time , please make contact with the school or with Ms. Grennan directly.
Attached to this news feed is a letter explaining the details. Please take a moment to read the letter.
