The boys of 3rd Class were formally invited to visit the O'Brien's Institute for Fire Training today to celebrate 'Fire Safety Week'. After talks from some dignitaries, such as Minister Phil Hogan, the boys were shown the fire engines and even got a chance to spray the hoses.

The aim of today was to inform the boys about the importance of fire safety in the home and to encourage them to bring this information home, share it and develop a fire safety plan with their families. The boys even made it on to the RTE Children's News.

Please see attached some images of the boys at OBI.
