Digi Day in 6th class

posted 30 Sep 2017, 09:57 by web master

This week the boys from 6th class invited family members and the elderly to teach their grandparents to use the internet. The boys were split up into six groups. Groups taught their elders how to use a Play Station, I-Pads. Nintendo DS, staying safe on the internet and various social media including Snapchat, Twitter and Facebook. At the break we served our grandparents refreshments. The boys also sang two songs. One called “Moon River” and the other called “When I Grow Up”. The grandparents also showed the children what they did/do. One of the boy`s grandfathers Peter Sheridan, was an author and gave us some books including ‘Old Money, New Money’, ‘Bullet and the Ark’ and ’44, A Dublin Memoir’, and two singers were also there who sang ‘Raglan Road’ and ‘The Hills of Mayo’. The photographer took pictures that were then published in the newspaper. All of the guests had an excellent time and were very pleased.
