October 17th was a red letter day for the boys in Scoil Mhuire. On that day Ger Brennan and Cormac Costello called to the school with "Sam" to be met with unbridled enthusiasm of over 300 boys and staff. The school was awash with blue as Ger and Cormac strode majestically in the gates of the famed football nursery to be met by a guard of honour in the famous blue and white of Scoil Mhuire.Sustained cheering could be heard as far away as Dingle as Ger and Cormac  marched proudly into the school hall. The raucous cheers of DUBLIN, DUBLIN rang around the school halls. Ah sweet music indeed. Many legends of the game have passed through the hallowed halls of Marino and football will forever be etched in the psyche of the school. Ger Brennan is a legend and i know that Cormac Costello will write his own rich chapters in Dublin football history in years to come. We salute Ger Cormac and this great Dublin team of 2013 for their sporting prowess. In case anyone was planning for 2014, Ger promised us he would be back in Scoil Mhuire same time next year. Now can you beat that.
