School Concert 2014

Excitement is building! The annual Scoil Mhuire school concert will take place on Tues 27th, Wed 28th and Thurs 29th May in the Scoil Mhuire school hall at 7:30 sharp. Boys are busy practising songs and dances, getting costumes fitted and designing sets and cannot wait to get on to the stage to perform!
Tickets will be on sale from next week at a price of €10 per ticket. Entry will not be permitted without a ticket. If the boys wish to watch the concert after they have finished their performance, they may do so only if they have a ticket. Alternatively, parents may collect their child from their classroom 10 minutes after their performance has finished or from Room 12 upstairs after the concert ends (where teachers will be supervising). We ask that children do not bring mobile electronic devices to school as per school policy.
Class teachers will inform your child what time they should come to school on the evenings they will perform. This is typically about 45 mins to an hour before the performance to allow costumes, make-up and microphone fittings.
FYI: The boys will be allowed to come to school at 10am on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning as they will no doubt be worn out from the excitement of their performances and the late nights! There will however be yard supervision from 8:30am as usual.
For health and safety reasons, we do ask that all children are supervised at all times. We ask for your support in this matter.
A huge thank you to all the parent volunteers who are busy creating fabulous costumes for every boy in the school as we speak! It is no mean feat and it is hugely appreciated! If you feel you would like to help the Parents Council on the concert nights with one of their many jobs, please contact Darragh Kelly.
We hope to see you all there!
