We are delighted to report that our uilleann piping classes are going very well and the boys have started to learn some Irish tunes. Mr. O' Dwyer visits the school once a week and teaches eight lucky boys from 5th class. Scoil Mhuire are honoured to have been chosen by Na Píobairí Uilleann to receive such a wonderful opportunity which is funded by Dublin City Council and The Arts Council.
James, Daragh, Simon and Conor from Room 17 start each Thursday with a piping class.
They are followed by Daniel, Éanna, James and Tadhg from Room 19.
They boys practise every night at home and are improving each week.
We are really looking forward to hearing them perform at the school concert.
