Shared Reading between 2nd and 6th Class

posted 27 Sept 2013, 12:52 by web master
The boys of 2nd and 6th class will part-take in shared reading on a regular basis throughout the year. This activity is mutually beneficial; the boys of 2nd class will get reading practise and develop their comprehension skills by answering a range of questions devised by their 6th class partner on the text. The 6th class boys will have to think about how to help their 2nd class partners to develop and learn, develop their own comprehension skills by creating a set of challenging questions on the text, develop an increased sense of responsibility and maturity and of course, use their social and oral language skills in the process. See information on shared reading at home to help your child develop their reading comprehension skills and share in their learning process.
